About the Author
Elaine North is author of five books and six screenplays. Her published books include: Adventures of Nebraska Wade, a historical cowboy novel about an elegant black dressmaker who travels throughout the Wild West (published in 2004); Election 2000 Enchantment, a political romance novel that tells the whole story of the 2000 election crisis in Florida (published 2001); and How to Write Like a Pro, a guide that teaches how to write great novels (published 2000). In addition, Elaine North has written six screenplays, which are for sell, and include: two detective screenplays and four science fiction screenplays. North's latest screenplay is Stonefield, a detective, science fiction thriller about a Sherlock Holmes type Chicago detective (not unlike Morgan Freeman) and his young white Harvard educated yuppie partner. The two hunt for a serial killer that has supernatural powers. Elaine North graduated from Dunbar Vocational High School in Chicago. While attending Los Angeles City College, she studied photojournalism and has worked as an advertising and frequently published newspaper photojournalist. She received her history degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Elaine North has traveled the world extensively, and lived abroad in Geneva, Switzerland working as a secretary at the United Nations. Currently, Elaine North resides in Chicago, and has one daughter who is a doctor.
