Andre Norton was the pen name of Andre Alice Norton, also known as Alice Mary Norton, and by the pen names Andrew North and Allen Weston. She was a trailblazing female author, famous for her science fiction, but also writing in other genres. She was the first woman to be inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame and held numerous other awards and firsts.
