About the Author
W. Mae Kent is the author of Titanic: The Untold Story, the first novel set on the Titanic to feature a black hero. She teaches fiction writing and is a psychotherapist with the University of Medicine & Dentistry in New Jersey. She earned a Masters of Social Work degree from Rutgers University and a Bachelors degree in Social Science and History from Thomas Edison State College. Titanic: The Untold Story is her second book and first published novel. Kent has hosted her own radio talk show on WFLN in her hometown of Vineland, New Jersey and she also an accomplished public speaker. Her presentation, The Other Side of the Titanic, which focuses on important, lesser known passengers on the Titanic, is popular with civic organizations, historical societies, and educational institutions. Kent is currently at work on her second novel which also features a little known historical figure.
