Too Little, and Almost Too Late: The War Refugee Board and America's Response to the Holocaust

In the final, desperate months of the Holocaust, a small U.S. government agency raced against the clock to save Jews from the Nazis. Despite President Franklin D. About the Author
Dr. Rafael Medoff is founding director of The David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies, in Washington, D.C. He is the author or editor of 17 books about the Holocaust and Jewish history; is co-editor of the Encyclopedia of America's Response to the Holocaust; and has contributed to the Encyclopedia Judaica and many other reference volumes. Dr. Medoff has taught Jewish history at Ohio State University, SUNY-Purchase College, and elsewhere, and served as associate editor of the scholarly journal American Jewish History.
