About the Author
Goldia G. Felder, the author of the HOT new book, "WHEN LOVING HIM IS KILLING YOU," is the mother of four children. A native of Hasting, Florida; she is the middle child of eleven siblings. Goldia graduated from Hastings High School. An Alumni of Bethune Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida, Goldia went on to received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management at Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, FL. Growing up, Goldia witnessed the physical, mental and emotional abuse of family and friends in relationships. Through these experiences love had become a parody. Goldia decided to get married at the early age of 18 and needless to say her life would forever be changed. After several years of marriage, Goldia realized she was experiencing the same unhealthy relationship cycles that she witness as a child. She would find herself dealing with the infidelities of a man she had vowed to love, honor and obey, until death did them part. At first she would try to make sense of the affairs of a man who said he loved her. Often times she would blame herself, as most women do, and wondered what she could do to make things better. Goldia tried everything from confronting her husband to forgiving him in hopes that the infidelities and the lies would stop. For seven years, she would deal with children being born outside of her marriage and the pain of loving a man who could not or would not remain faithful. After almost seventeen years of marriage, Goldia decided that enough was enough and walked away. After filing for divorce, Goldia would find herself laid off from work, homeless with her children to provide for. She soon moved to Jacksonville, FL and started a new life for herself and her children. There, Goldia found a passion for the martial arts, and have helped train inner city kids in the art. She has also worked with consumers with disabilities, training them to become productive self-sufficient individuals in the community. That is when she found the passion to write and help women who had been through similar situations. Goldia believes that women are an intricate part of the family structure. Goldia is on a mission to empower women. By giving them insight into how holding on to unhealthy relationship could affect their physical, mental and emotional health, it is her hope to heal one woman at a time.
