J.L. Leonard is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist with over 45 years of experience working in the field of communicative disorders. She has worked with individuals suffering from stroke, brain injury, swallowing disorders, progressive neurological disease, autism, developmental and learning disabilities, and voice disorders. She writes poetry, song lyrics and is currently working on a fiction novel. She lives in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California.
