Yara the Queen of the jungle, tells the true story of the life of a beautiful Indian princess by the green color of her eyes and white skin, was born as a curse to some and a blessing to others in the mountains of Venezuela Yaracuy.

She was as the only hope of her tribe, who long with his father, the great Cacique Yaracuy, commanded more than 500 indigenous people to free her people from the oppression of the Spanish conqueror, who massacred their way to every living with the only purpose of getting El Dorado.

Yara in the actuality is a legend known around the world like Maria Lionza, the queen of the mountain Sorte. (in Yaracuy State).

The famous singer, actor and politician Ruben Blades composed a song for her.
