About the Author
Bob Azzarito has worked with students as a counselor, spiritual director, program coordinator, and mentor for over twenty-five years. For the past eleven years, he has led a campus program for students from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. He is a marriage and family therapist, a business consultant, an ordained minister, a speaker and author. Bob was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from California State University of Northridge with a degree in Political Science. He also holds Master's Degrees in History and Theology and received his Doctorate from Regent/Carey College in Vancouver, BC in "Spiritual Formation of Young Adults." The title of his dissertation was: "There and Back Again, The Power of a Pilgrimage Experience on Young Adult Development." He serves as the chairman of the board of directors for Students Helping Honduras, a non-profit, student led organization that works with poor families in El Progreso, Honduras. He and his wife Sue met while they were in high school and were married after college. They have four adult children, Amy, Dorie, Shelley, and Matt. They also have two young grandchildren, Harper and Ethan. His hobbies include sports of all kinds, especially golf, racquetball, bike riding, snowboarding, and frisbee. He enjoys reading novels, building things, playing with Harper and Ethan, good movies, good food, and a good joke. He has lived in Los Angeles, CA, Siloam Springs, AR, San Carlos, CA, Fredericksburg, VA, and most recently, Sacramento, CA.
