About the Author
Dennis Lavoie has taught high school Spanish for more than 20 years. He is a participant in the College Board's Spanish Program Development/Assessment Committee.

Yensen Sierra Lambert has taught AP Spanish Language and Culture and other Spanish courses for 19 years in New York City, Florida, Georgia, and most recently at Greens Farms Academy in Westport, CT. She has served as a Reader and Table Leader in the AP Spanish Language and Culture Reading in Cincinnati for the last four years. She has also led student and teacher training workshops for the National Math and Science Initiative/AP for All in New York City, where she has helped native speakers and their teachers prepare for the AP exam. Lambert presented proficiency-based sessions at ACTFL and will soon participate in NECTFL in New York City. She is currently the chair of the world languages department at Greens Farms Academy in Westport, CT, where she teaches and mentors experienced teachers and teaching fellows.
