Fern Jackson-Brown was born, raised, and educated in the Baltimore, Maryland. She earned and received her Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree in Special Education from Coppin State University as well as obtained certification to educate in all documented disabilities from infant to adult. Her son's diagnosis of autism acted as a catalyst to educate herself in the special education field of studies. She has taught in the Baltimore City School System as a Special Educator for over two decades. She is a devoted wife, mother, daughter, educator, and author.
