Nick Spencer broke into the comic-book industry with Existence 2.0, published by Image in 2009 and slated for adaptation into a feature film by Paramount Pictures. He has since worked on a sequel, Existence 3.0, and the ongoing series Morning Glories and Bedlam for Image, as well as T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents for DC. For Marvel, he wrote Secret Avengers, Iron Man 2.0 and Ultimate Comics X-Men before relaunching Secret Avengers and launching the villain-centric Superior Foes of Spider-Man for Marvel NOW! Spencer brought the comedic-underdog tone of the latter book to the pages of Ant-Man, and then shocked readers by turning the Sentinel of Liberty against the world in the pages of Captain America: Steve Rogers, Captain America: Sam Wilson and the event series Secret Empire.
Hired on the strength of his Official Marvel Tryout penciling submission, Mark Bagley rose to prominence as the artist of 1990s sleeper hit New Warriors. Following an acclaimed run on Amazing Spider-Man, he worked with writer Kurt Busiek on Thunderbolts. When Marvel launched its Ultimate line, Bagley and Brian Michael Bendis led the way with Ultimate Spider-Man, whose years of success made the pair the longest-running creative team in Marvel history. Bendis and Bagley have also collaborated on Avengers Assemble and the creator-owned Brilliant. His subsequent credits include Fantastic Four, Cataclysm: The Ultimates' Last Stand, Hulk, All-New X-Men and Venom.
Ryan Ottley penciled his way into comic-book history with his fourteen-year collaboration with Robert Kirkman on Invincible at Image Comics, having impressed the writer with his work online. Ottley also illustrated Image's Haunt before making his spectacular Marvel debut on Amazing Spider-Man.
Artist Humberto Ramos made his American comics debut in 1994 with DC's Impulse, featuring the Flash's brash grandson. In 1998, Ramos launched the creator-owned Crimson under Wildstorm's Cliffhanger imprint, illustrating the title for more than two years. He then moved to Marvel, becoming one of the most recognizable and innovative talents in comics. Seamlessly blending both Eastern and Western styles, the artist's artist has worked on many of Marvel's most iconic characters -- including Spider-Man, Wolverine and the X-Men -- in addition to a run on the fan-favorite Runaways. Ramos brought his kinetic artwork to the pages of Extraordinary X-Men and Champions, as well as a magical collaboration with Skottie Young on Strange Academy.
