Description

We offer this concordance of Vatican II as what we believe is the only widely available print edition still in publication. Previous editions of concordances over the past 50 years have become increasingly difficult to find and expensive to purchase. It is our hope that this new edition will make the study of Vatican II easier for its disciples. As can be expected for such an undertaking considerable effort has gone into the production of this work. If you find the price reasonable, we ask that you donate to a local church or say a prayer for the intention of the editors. Suggestions for future concordances are welcome. Although, considerable effort has gone into verifying the accuracy of the work some corrections may still be present. Any errors may be directed to the editors for updating. This concordance lists every word used by the Holy See Website's translations of Vatican II. It contains the word counts by number for the 16 major documents of Vatican II by paragraph. As a result, if a paragraph is listed more than once under any word entry, it means that particular paragraph contains multiple usages of that word. Introductions, such as in Gravissimum Educationis, have been given a paragraph number of 0]. The appendix at the end of Lumen Gentium was included in paragraph 69]. Footnotes have not been included in the concordance. Words involving possession ('s) were included as sperate entries. Thus, 'world', 'worlds' and 'world's' may be found separately. The occasional word is given extra entries to differentiate what it references. For example, see the entry for beloved. Spelling mistakes in the Holy See Website's translations have been identified and flagged for the reader. Latin, Greek and Hebrew words have also been noted for the reader. We hope your studies are aided by our work.
