Description

The Ethiopia of 1995 is a country still recovering from the traumatic experience of some two decades of war, revolution, drought and famine, accompanied by human tragedy on a grand scale. This bibliography presents an up-to-date account of the chief works on all aspects of Ethiopia, ancient and modern. The extreme conditions of the country, its very early contacts with Europe, and its maintenance of political independence are all covered.
