About the Author
Pat Lazarus has been a medical journalists for more than twenty-five years. She has published over four hundred articles on medicine, mostly in technical publications read by doctors to keep on top of new research. This is her second book for the lay public. Her first, Keep Your Pet Healthy the Natural Way, is considered the classic book on nutritional (orthomolecular) therapy for dogs and cats.

Listed in The International Who's Who of Authors and Writers, she is a former member of the National Association of Science Writers in the United States. She lives in New York City.
