This book consists of the marriage and death notices as they are found in this newspaper. Although the Southern patriot was published in Charleston, the marriage and death notices are not limited to this area, but encompass the enite United States east of the Mississippi River. This volume will be extremely useful genealogical reference as the obituarie and marriage notices of this newspaper are given in great detail, often including dates of birth, parents and family names, as well as places of residence.
