About the Author
The author has spent most of his life in the Morristown N.J. area. Born and raised in Convent N.J., he followed the same flight path as his father through St. Paul's, Princeton (Ivy Club) and into the investment business as a broker/ analyst. In the 1970's and 80's, he owned a sporting goods business and two franchises. Ultimately, he returned to the investment world and even in retirement still has a passion for picking stocks.
I feel the giant roots planted by my Great Great Grandfather, David Hunter McAlpin in the Morristown area in the 1850's when I drive past Century 21 (formerly the McAlpin Building and down South Street to St. Peter's Church ( where my Grandparents were married in 1905, both my parents memorial services were held ( Malcolm in 1985, Helen in 2000 ) and where my family attended church from the 1940's to the 1980's.
