Description

A comedic story set in the universe of Naruto that features Kakashi, Guy, and Mirai Sarutobi, along with the rest of the new generation!

Sarutobi Mirai has a lot to live up to as the granddaughter of Konoha's Third Hokage and the daughter of Sarutobi Asuma, the hero who gave up his life during the Great Ninja War. But as everyone continues to expect great things from her, she struggles to separate herself from her family's legacy and find her own way.

Mirai's journey escorting Kakashi and Guy takes an unexpected turn when their route is cut off by a massive landslide. While stopped at a village, Mirai meets Tatsumi, a young girl whose mother has died. She reveals to Mirai that she's in this particular village because there's a hot spring nearby that can bring the dead back to life. Mirai decides to join Tatsumi for a chance to meet her father, whom she only knows from the memories of others. What she finds is anything but the miracle hot spring she was hoping for--instead, she discovers the very cult that killed her father!

About the Author
Natsuo Sai

Before working on the manga adaptation of Sho Hinata's novel Naruto: Konoha's Story--The Steam Ninja Scrolls, a spin-off story of Masahi Kishimoto's critically acclaimed Naruto manga, he did the art for a number of Psycho-Pass manga spin-offs. He started work on the serialization of Naruto: Konoha's Story--The Steam Ninja Scrolls: The Manga on Jump+ in 2022.

Masashi Kishimoto

Masashi Kishimoto was born in 1974 in rural Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Like many kids, he was first inspired to become a manga artist in elementary school when he read Dragon Ball. After spending time in art college, he won the Hop Step Award for new manga artists with his story "Karakuri." After considering various genres for his next project, Kishimoto decided on a story steeped in traditional Japanese culture. His first version of Naruto, drawn in 1997, was a one-shot story about fox spirits. His final version, which debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, quickly became the most popular ninja manga in the world. The series would also spawn multiple anime series, movies, novels, video games, and more. Since the series' conclusion in late 2014, Masashi Kishimoto has created the side story Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring and launched a new manga that focuses on Naruto's son, Boruto.

Sho Hinata

Sho Hinata was the original author of the novel that inspired the manga adaptation of Naruto: Konoha's Story--The Steam Ninja Scrolls. He has also written spin-off novels for other popular series such as One Piece: Ace's Story.
