About the Author
Sam "Indigo" White, our average young, African American male, struggles in a society that devalues his self-worth. He continues to recover from spiritual violations and victimization, to practice self-validation. Although incarcerated physically, he is mentally and emotionally free, thus lives to consciously promote the power of the word, as he greets those at the intersection of uncertainty, and provides a service that is his true calling. Golden Winters continues to thrive from humble beginnings, as they gracefully perform in the spirit of the Griot. Golden immersed in her Creole and Gullah Ceechee Culture-(knowing) and in her own narratives tell the story of love, oppression, self-determination, with passion and self-recovery. Her words echo through the dark dirt roads of Mississippi, Bayous of Louisiana, and whispers of Low Country, South Carolina, the Dunes of Indiana, allegedly progressive metropolitan cities and the halls of industrial complex institutions (Prisons). She is a daughter of the universe and with principle manifests love to uplift and inspire.
