About the Author
Randy Menefee grew up in the middle class industrial town of Texas City Texas. He attended Texas Tech University where he achieved a Bachelors of Science in International Trade. He currently resides in central Texas with his wife and two children. His interest in gold and silver began when he was looking to start a hobby collecting something, but the question was what to collect. He settled on Silver Art Bars. The reason for this is that art bars are collectable and numerous, were relatively inexpensive at the time, and unlike baseball cards or shot glasses, they have intrinsic value which goes up as price of silver increases. From there his interest branched out into gold with the gift from his wife of a 1/10th ounce gold Eagle for an anniversary present. Since then he has continued to purchase gold and silver and since the economic collapse of 2008, he has been an advocate of purchasing and holding precious metals. He does not consider himself to be an expert on the subject, but has written this book to provide his experiences to others so that they are able to make informed decisions when and if the readers decides to begin investing.
