About the Author
Irene Gallopin, M.M. ED., began her musical studies at the age of seven. After graduating from comprehensive music studies with honors, she continued her education at Saint Petersburg Conservatory of Music. She consequently worked as a piano and music history instructor at the State College of Education where she participated in faculty concerts and performed as a solo pianist and as an accompanist for instrumental and vocal ensembles. After graduating from the Conservatory of Music, Irene attended VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, IL, where she earned a Master of Music Education degree. She also earned a Master's degree in special education from Governors State University, University Park, IL. Irene Gallopin has been teaching piano to students of all ages for over forty years. She has mastered and developed personalized instructional approaches for every age. Performances by her students demonstrate an understanding of the style of a musical composition, overall mastery of performance, and excellent technique skills which lead to successful student achievement and progress.
