About the Author
Mrs. Leland Lovelace, author (Bessie Barkley), grew up in New York (State?) and attended Albany College. She became a reporter for the Washington Herald and eventually was appointed editor of Unity Magazine. She married J. Lee Lovelace in 1928, and they settled in Chandler, Arizona. Writing under the pen name of Leland Lovelace, she published Lost Mines and Hidden Treasures in 1956.
