i hope those dreamers would rise and say
too long our hearts have been unsound
too long have dreams been smothered down
the sweltering sun of broken dreams
have shuttered hope and killed esteem
but now's the time to dream again
now's the time for fear to end
now's the time to fix ouraim
now's the time to raise our game
the dark and dreaded night must end
the birth of dreams our hope depends
too long has been our labor pain
too long we've held such grim disdain
these labor pains have been our song
they've weighed us down, they've been prolonged
but now's the time to birth our dreams
despite how hard the labor seems
now's the time to push them through
expectant hope has made them due
the sunlit paths of summer days
will soon shine forth in splendid ways
too long has winter made its bed
too long has darkness raised its head
it's time for storms to melt away
the coldest nights must bow to day
yes, now's the time to reach for more
yes, now's the time for holy war
against assassins and their schemes
against the killers of our dreams
press on, press on you must my friend
fight on, fight on until the end
confront the viles of fear and doubt
confront the fright that's spread throughout
too long has hope been kept at bay
too long has terror had its way
it's time for faith to stand again
it's time for dreams to rise in men
